Job Description:

• Private Rheumatology Medical Clinic has an immediate opening for a full-time Bilingual CMA.
• 100% outpatient clinic.
• Will Need Proficient Knowledge in Prior Authorizations of Biologicals.
• Provide general support for the clinic and have proficiency in the following.
• Patient intake, including recording medications, medical history, vitals, etc.
• Discussion of abnormal labs and imaging results with patients.
• Call in prescription medications.
• Basic knowledge of lab values and imaging studies.
• Familiarity and experience with EHR systems.
• Manage refill requests.
• Manage the coordination of new start medications.
• Injection teaching.
• Injection administration is a plus.
• Phlebotomy experience is a plus.
• EKG experience a plus.
• Pay based on experience.

Required:

• Up-to-date CMA license a plus.
• TWO years of experience in an outpatient clinic setting or healthcare setting.

Skills:

• Spanish speaking bilingual a plus.
• Rheumatology experience is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Must have experience with EHR systems - EcW (E-clinical Works is a plus)
• Must have the ability to understand and communicate abnormal labs and imaging results to patients by phone.
• Requires interpersonal skills necessary to coordinate patient flow and interact with staff and providers.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• EMR systems: 2 years (Preferred)
• Prior authorizations: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
