About Us

National Grid is hiring a Data Analyst for our Data Analytics department in Northboro MA or Waltham MA with the ability to travel throughout our service territory for critical meetings where face-to-face interaction is of high value.

We’re looking for a curious, driven, and technically skilled analyst to join our NE Electric Data & Advanced Analytics team. Key Accountabilities

  • Analyze and Interpret Data: Support the team in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets to uncover insights that drive smarter decisions.
  • Build Tools and Dashboards: Help develop dynamic dashboards and visualizations that empower teams across NE Electric to make data-driven choices.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with engineers, planners, and business leaders to understand their needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Communicate with Impact: Learn to tell compelling stories with data—whether it’s through a well-crafted slide deck or a quick update to a stakeholder.
  • Grow with Purpose: Participate in coaching, feedback, and development opportunities that will help you build confidence, clarity, and capability.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Environmental Science, or similar)
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with tools like Excel, SQL, Python, or Power BI
  • Effective communication skills and a desire to grow in stakeholder engagement
  • A collaborative spirit and a passion for continuous improvement

More Information

Salary : $81,000 - $95,000

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Internal candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
