• About This Opportunity
Responsibilities:

Overview

The Optimization Analyst will streamline fuel transportation processes and work with the transportation, accounting, and supply groups to optimize freight spend. This role will focus on continuous improvement and requires attention to detail and strong knowledge of transportation, supply, and scheduling processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain key performance indicators for the 3 party carriers to help drive improvements.
• Work cross-functionally to build optimization models to identify and capture opportunities to reduce freight spend.
• Liaison between Transportation, Accounting, and IT to establish and maintain analytical systems to drive improvements.
• Own and develop future roadmap for the Transportation systems to improve flexibility to capture opportunities.These systems include ATG (Titan and Inform), and inventory management systems (FuelQuest ad KeyVu).
• Work with 3rd party carriers to identify and implement integration opportunities.
• Apply industry knowledge to develop and implement best-in-class processes.
• Point person for PC miler to calculate and analyze miles and hours between supply points and terminals.
• Back-up Transportation Schedulers during weather events (hurricanes, snowstorms) and works with carriers to ensure safe delivery of fuel to stores as well as communication to management and operations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications: Additional Knowledge & Skills
• Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree, higher analytical degree preferred
• Experience: Strong industry experience in Fuel Operations and Transportation, 3 years minimum, 5 years of industry knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of IT and Fuel accounting concepts and practices preferred
• Process driven, with mindset of continuously improvement
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Customer service oriented, with a sense of urgency
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions
