We're looking for a Hydrogeologist based out of Irvine, California, to support groundwater resource projects for municipal clients in Southern California. You'll learn from experienced scientists, engineers and project managers who are ready to mentor you. You'll gain valuable field experience conducting oversight of drilling and well installation for groundwater production, injection, and monitoring wells; and investigations to support siting and design for managed aquifer recharge projects. You'll balance your field work with some time spent in the office working on data interpretation and visualization, quantitative modeling, report writing and coordinating logistics for field activities. At Jacobs - we'll empower you to learn and grow as you deliver projects that make our world better. * Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or Civil/Water Resources Engineering or related discipline. * 2 to 5 years of work experience in a consulting role or for a public agency. * Ability to acquire a California Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer license. * Knowledge of and experience with groundwater investigations, drilling and well installation, aquifer testing, and associated data analysis approaches. * Knowledge of the field work methodologies and procedures typically used in the groundwater/water resources industry. * Experience with ESRI Geographic Information System software, techniques, and analysis. * Experience with Microsoft Office software. * 40-hr HAZWOPER certification or the ability to attain this certification. Ideally, You'll Also Have: * Masters degree * Strong writing skills * Groundwater modeling experience * Other quantitative skills (e.g., scripting/programing in Python or R, experience with 3D visualization tools like Leapfrog or MVS, or experience with statistics/geostatistics) Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
