Job Description We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Junior Project Manager to support the execution and construction coordination of multiple high-end interior design projects. This role is ideal for a proactive individual looking to grow their career in project management within the interior design industry. You'll gain hands-on experience in managing timelines, vendor coordination, documentation, and installations, all while supporting the seamless execution of design projects from concept to completion. This role is heavily focused on the construction and implementation phase of the design process and requires someone who is highly knowledgeable in CAD and construction details, communicative, and able to manage timelines and logistics across several active job sites.
The Junior Project Manager will work directly under the Project Manager to ensure construction schedules, site coordination, vendor communication, and installations run smoothly and according to plan.
Responsibilities - Assist in managing construction schedules, job site timelines, and contractor coordination
- Conduct and document onsite walkthroughs, installations, and measurements
- Track project progress and communicate updates to the internal team and vendors
- Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, workrooms, and other trades
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation, work orders, and punch lists
- Oversee delivery logistics and support seamless installations
- Develop and maintain detailed Interior Design Drawing sets for implementation on site
- Prepare and manage proposals, invoices, and budget tracking
- Maintain digital records of all job site activity and client communication
Qualifications - 2+ years of experience in interior design project coordination, design project management, or a related field
- Strong working knowledge of the construction phase within interior design projects
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication
- Comfortable working on active job sites and collaborating with tradespeople
- Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and a problem solver
Software Proficiencies - AutoCAD (required)
- Google Workspace & Microsoft Office
- Design Manager or other project management tools
- SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and Photoshop (a plus)
Education Associate’s Degree in Interior Design, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
Schedule Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 5
