Job Summary

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)'s are needed to fill roles in the Emergency Room, and Acute Care. Successful candidates for this Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)'s position must have the ability to critically think, work autonomously, be able to delegate efficiently, and possess effective leadership skills.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)'s Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, evidence-based care to patients as directed by the provider or RN.
• Assist with procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed.
• Perform lab and procedural tests within the LPN scope of practice, after demonstrating competency.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Serve as a resource to department staff to help deliver quality patient care.
• Demonstrates ability to learn and ultimately practice in the multiple settings with the critical access hospital.
• Integrates appropriate standards of care into the patient's plan of care based on the diagnosis and age-specific needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)'s REQUIREMENTS:

• Wyoming Licensed Practical Nurse license (or compact state license) with IV Certification (LPN IV)
• Current BLS certifications 
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire
• Current Advanced Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hire
• Current Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within 6 months of hire
• Experience in rural hospital is beneficial by not required
• Background check, drug screening and current TB test required upon hire
