Qnity has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a **Synthetic Organic Chemist** in the Semiconductor Technologies Lithography group located in **Marlborough, MA.** The Synthetic Chemist will be responsible for the design, synthesis, and analysis of small molecules, monomers and polymers. This will include both new product innovation and optimization of existing product lines to capture new growth opportunities. The chemist will work closely with R&D formulation teams and development engineering for scale-up and manufacturing as we expand and grow our business. The chemistry within Semiconductor Technologies includes small molecule synthesis and purification; free radical polymerization; polyphenylene synthesis; condensation and living anionic polymerizations; shelf life and stability studies; scale-up; and attention to detail for quality control and manufacturability around metals reduction and defectivity control. **Primary Responsibilities:** · Synthesis, design, and development of small molecules, monomers, and polymers for semiconductor application · Application of knowledge of multistep synthetic organic chemistry · Participate in multifunctional teams to drive new product development from concept shaping and validation to scale-up and commercialization · Create and secure intellectual property for Qnity · Analysis of analytical and performance data · Organize and share data, write technical reports and presentations · Network within the Qnity organization and external networks to identify potential technology leads and new innovations for Semiconductor Technologies Lithography **Critical Success Factors:** · Demonstrated record of achievement in technical role · Demonstrated ability to innovate and define new approaches · Excellent organizational and project management skills · Business acumen · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Capable of performing in a fast paced, customer focused business unit **Required Qualifications:** · Proven track record of safe laboratory practices and methodology · A Ph.D. in chemistry · An understanding of small molecule design and synthesis with a proven track record of accomplishment is desirable. · Excellent and diverse synthetic expertis Join our Talent Community ( to stay connected with us!
