Job Description
Step into the essential role of a Surgical Tech in California’s storied Fort Bragg, where precision, teamwork, and compassionate care converge to shape meaningful outcomes in the operating room. This opportunity invites you to deploy your expertise alongside seasoned clinicians, making a tangible impact on patients and families during some of the most critical moments of their lives. Imagine the satisfaction of supporting complex procedures, mastering intricate instrument sets, and upholding the highest standards of sterility and safety—while enjoying the natural beauty and relaxed pace of the Mendocino Coast. Beyond Fort Bragg, this assignment also offers the flexibility to experience other remarkable places across California and the United States, expanding your professional horizon as you explore new communities, cultures, and clinical settings.
Location benefits extend far beyond the OR. Fort Bragg sits along the unforgettable Northern California coastline, where dramatic cliffs meet the blue Pacific, and redwood forests offer tranquil escape after a demanding shift. You’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in a region renowned for outdoor recreation, arts, and unique dining experiences, all while delivering critical surgical support. For travelers drawn to breadth, the role also presents assignments at diverse facilities nationwide, allowing you to engage with different hospital cultures, surgical teams, and state-of-the-art equipment. This blend of familiar, supportive surroundings and opportunities to broaden your professional footprint creates a compelling balance between consistency and adventure. Weekly compensation ranges from $1,446 to $1,525, with housing assistance and the potential for contract extensions, ensuring you’re rewarded for both your skill and your mobility. Start date is January 5, 2026, with assignment lengths described as weeks, offering you the flexibility to align this work with your personal and professional plans. While guaranteed hours are listed as 0.0, our programs are designed to maximize reliable scheduling whenever possible, with a supportive framework to help you navigate variations in demand across facilities.
In this role, you’ll be the backbone of the OR, preparing rooms to specifications, setting up and organizing instrument trays, and assisting surgical teams with precision and focus. Your responsibilities will include aseptic technique, proper instrument count, equipment handling, and assisting with patient positioning and draping under the supervision of surgeons and circulators. You’ll coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams to anticipate needs, manage sterile supplies, and maintain impeccable OR readiness before, during, and after procedures. This position also opens doors for professional growth—across specialties, facilities, and leadership tracks. You can expand your skill set through exposure to varied case types, participate in ongoing competencies, and pursue certifications or enroll in courses that align with your career goals. The role is designed to recognize your expertise with competitive benefits, including a signing or performance bonus when applicable, robust housing assistance, and opportunities to extend engagements based on mutual fit and facility needs. And you’ll never travel alone—24/7 support is available while you’re on assignment with the company, providing round-the-clock guidance, onboarding help, and rapid resolution of any onboarding or on-location concerns.
Our company values your dedication and your potential. We’re committed to empowering you with pathways for career advancement, access to continued education resources, mentorship from seasoned leaders, and a supportive work environment where your contributions are recognized and valued. The focus is on sustainable growth—both for your clinical skills and your professional journey—so you can build a rewarding, long-term career while delivering exceptional care to patients and families across diverse communities. You’ll join a culture that prioritizes safety, collaboration, and respect, ensuring you have the backing you need to excel in fast-paced, high-stakes settings.
